Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has Cesar Azpilicueta to thank for Alvaro Morata's imminent arrival from Real Madrid.
The Blues announced on Wednesday evening that they have agreed a fee with the La Liga giants for the Spain international.
And his switch looks a formality with personal terms expected to be agreed and a medical to be passed today.
Morata will then link up with Chelsea on their pre-season tour of China and Singapore, where he'll be hoping to get off to a flyer.
The 24-year-old has opened up on his impending move, suggesting Azpilicueta convinced him a Stamford Bridge switch was the right thing to do.
Asked if he'd spoken to Chelsea's Spanish players, Morata told AS: "Yes, I have spoken with Azpilicueta.
"And also with Fernando Torres, who has told me he’ll give me a hand with whatever I need."
