Dortmund’s internal transfer window has closed
Chelsea are in the market for a new striker after Antonio Conte dumped Diego Costa by text.
And Aubameyang certainly fits the bill at Stamford Bridge after scoring 40 goals in all competitions last season.
However, it appears that Dortmund are ready to bring the Blues crashing down to earth by blocking any propsed talks.
The Germany famously conduct their transfer business early in the window and have their own internal timeframe to confirm ins and outs.
CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke recently told Chelsea they had just a matter of days to conclude a deal for Aubameyang.
But the Blues have missed the deadline and may now be forced to look elsewhere as the new season appears on the horizon.
