RUMOURS :ARSENAL PLAY MAKER WANT A MOVE TO PSG
Arsenal are reportedly confident that Alexis Sanchez won’t force a transfer this summer and even hold out some hope that he could sign a new contract.
The Chile international is being strongly linked with Paris Saint-Germain at the moment, with various sources saying he’s in talks with the Ligue 1 giants over a move to the French capital.
And while this would be preferable for Arsenal over losing him to Premier League title rivals Manchester City, they have remained firm all summer that he won’t be sold.
Sanchez is in the final year of his contract with the Gunners, potentially putting them under pressure to sell, though it has previously been claimed they’d want over £50million for him, or £80m from City.
The 28-year-old was one of the best players in Europe last season as he scored 30 goals in all competitions for Arsene Wenger’s side, and has unsurprisingly attracted plenty of interest after strongly hinting he wants a move.

Speaking in his native Chile recently, Sanchez admitted: ‘I want to play the Champions League. The decision does not depend on me, I have to wait for Arsenal.
‘I’ve made my decision, now I wait for Arsenal’s reply. The idea is to play and win the Champions League. I’ve dreamt about it since I was a kid.’
Still, the Daily Telegraph claim that Arsenal do not expect Sanchez to force a move, suggesting they’ll stick to their plan of allowing him to leave for free next summer instead of losing him now.
As well as that, it’s claimed that figures around the Emirates Stadium hold out some hope that the former Barcelona man could even be persuaded to sign a new contract if Arsenal start the new season strongly.

Wenger on Sanchez
‘No (he won’t be sold).
‘The easiest way to manage the players in the final year of their contracts is it’s in his interest to do as well as he can.
‘Nobody knows today if Sanchez will be in the final year of his contract next season because he can as well extend his contract with us at the start of the season or during the season.
‘It’s not necessarily the last year of his contract at Arsenal.’
